One Night Homestay - Proyecto Asis Costa Rica

This all-inclusive one night homestay experience allows you to have a true Costa Rican experience. The family that you will stay with has been carefully screened and will be hosting you and providing you with authentic Costa Rican meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and hospitality.

This program is scheduled from Monday to Friday.

INCLUDES

Introduction to Proyecto Asis Wildlife Rescue Center and the host family. Guided tour to see the animals we care for, a coffee break, and then you help us prepare the animals’ diets and make enrichment toys that provide a different daily routine for the animals. To follow the directions from our Ministry of Environment, only our staff is allowed to feed the animals. After that, we take you to meet your host family to have lunch. We bring you back to do the sloth tour where you will learn about these species. After this experience we will take you back home to enjoy a delicious typical Costa Rican dinner and enjoy an interchange of culture. The next day you will also be given breakfast and this is how this program ends.

Cancellation policy

Cancel 72 hours before your tour for a full refund. After that, it’s non-refundable under any circumstance. All cancellations must be acknowledged by Proyecto Asis.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Our wildlife tours are offered in English or Spanish only (However, groups are not mixed, so guides will only speak one language). You need to specify what language of the ones available you need when booking.

If you are with someone who speaks a language other than English or Spanish and are able to translate for them, we appreciate that you do so in a manner that does not interrupt the tour for others.

Host Families usually speak only Spanish and just a couple of words in English.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes earlier in order to check in and be told about extra details.
  • Bug repellent and closed shoes are highly recommended (flip flops are not permitted).
