Sloth & Wildlife Sanctuary· La Fortuna, Costa Rica

A wildlife and sloth sanctuary in La Fortuna

Proyecto ASIS is a wildlife and sloth sanctuary in the rainforest of La Fortuna de San Carlos, near Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica. Since 2000 our team has cared for rescued animals and welcomed visitors from around the world, rated 4.8 stars by more than 2,000 travelers on TripAdvisor and 639 on Google.

Every animal here arrived because of injury, illegal trafficking or human contact. Our guides introduce you to each one: where they came from, what their care involves and what role their species plays in the rainforest. Sloths are the exception, they live wild and free in our private reserve, and we never keep them in captivity. Tours run in small groups, Monday to Saturday, with online booking and instant confirmation.
